Fine from students for bunking classes?

In College Of Engineering O'bad now a days fine has been imposed on the students who will bunk the class! A strange decision has been taken by the college management last month. You may call it a way of increasing the presenty of class  and so the reputation of the college... but the question is IS THIS REALLY A GOOD WAY OF TREATING STUDENTS? Don't you think the student will feel too restricted to attend classes?

Students are asking "Is it a legal way to grab the money in the name of fine from students?"
IF you calculate there are nearly 120 students in each branch of engineering and total there are 4 branches so total number of students are 120*4*4 =1920 and if we assume the fine of 200 for every student so the total amount of the fine will be of Rs.3,84,000/-!!!

OMG! Thats a lot of money!

Where will this much amount of money go? Is it ethical to impose fine on students? Lots of questions but no answers... only time will tell "next is what?

  2. hey I think your calculation is wrong....
120 students per Branch, so the student count for 4 branches goes to 120*4 = 480 and fine cost goes to 480 * 200 = 96000

Plz If you want to escalate any issue, then put it in forth neatly.....its my kind suggestion...
And I am too agree to the statements what you have mentioned,
Fine should not be charged, it goes in somewhat otherway round.
Still What Can you do for the same....?
Are you gonna stop them....or else how can you?

Only putting forth the problem is too easy....but to solve it, shows your actual guts...
    Lets see what Happens......

    Best Luck......
